The Zen-Ya Designs For Life team was recently engaged to revitalise a tired holiday unit in beautiful Port Macquarie.
The goal: to modernize the space, draw inspiration from nature, and help the owner secure a higher return on investment.
Our brief was clear yet ambitious. The owner sought a transformation that would not only uplift the unit but also attract discerning guests. Key objectives included:
With these objectives in mind, we meticulously curated a fresh, earthy palette intertwined with a variety of textures that echo the tranquillity and beauty of the surrounding nature. This involved deep research and consultation to ensure every element was aligned with our vision for the space.
Additionally, we believe in tailored solutions that embody excellence and quality. Zen-Ya Designs For Life proudly customises Australian-made lounges with the luxurious Warwick Fabric, known for its durability, versatility, and timeless aesthetic. This quality fabric not only enhances comfort but also embodies Australian craftsmanship, ensuring that every piece complements our design philosophy.
To further accentuate the natural theme, we incorporated natural fibres through rustic linen throws and cushions. These elements not only provide comfort but help infuse the unit with an inviting warmth and texture.
For the outdoor area, we selected MGO (Magnesium Oxide) for our custom outdoor furniture. MGO is an incredibly resilient material that offers outstanding weather resistance, making it ideal for coastal environments. It does not warp, crack, or swell, ensuring longevity and beauty despite the harsher elements of nature. Its eco-friendly properties provide peace of mind for environmentally conscious clients who appreciate sustainable choices in their outdoor living spaces.
Moreover, we opted for a combination of teak and synthetic materials for chairs. Teak is renowned for its natural oils that make it resistant to the elements, while synthetic materials add a modern twist with lightweight durability. This combination not only enhances functionality but creates visually stunning seating options that withstand the test of time and temperamental coastal weather.
